When you die to self, it sets you free.
It’s a freedom only a dead man knows.
It cannot be fully explained, not even by theologians of the past or present.
It isn’t something you learn in seminary.
It is a life only a dead man can live — a life found only in Christ.
It is a life that cost Jesus His life,
and it is going to cost you yours as well.
Are you willing to die for the One who died for you?
He laid down His life, and so must we.
Only the dead can be resurrected.
We must crucify our own lives to serve a crucified Christ.
